In the beginning
Since 1938, Schindler’s has been servicing the
greater Cleveland area in quality reupholstery,
custom made products for the home, office and
marine use. We stock over 300,000 yards of home
fashion fabrics; all first quality. Our extensive line
includes silks, sheers, tapestries, velvets, cottons,
linens, canvases, velvets, vinyls, commercial
upholstery, indoor/outdoor, marine and boat
(cushion and interior) fabrics and trims. We have a
fabric for every budget.
Our stock is fresh, chosen after market. New
patterns arrive weekly. We also stock first quality
closeouts. We carry a fabric for every budget. From
our closeout room starting at $3.00 a yard to our
embroidered silks with a chenille leaf at $70.00 a
yard, our stock can service every need.
Our staff is knowledgeable in the fabric industry. Not
only do we sell fabrics, we have a workroom for
upholstery, and drapery on our premises. We
specialize in reupholstery of period pieces. We have
been featured on HGTV for upholstery. Combined
experience for our staff is 100 years plus.
Our sample library is quite extensive. With over
5000 patterns to select from, our library is new and
constantly changing. Fabric companies that we
feature are, Dura Lee (DuraLee), Portfolio's
Candice Olson Designs, Kravet, Fabricut, Robert
Allen, JF Fabrics, Latimer Alexander, Stroheim &
Romann, World Wide Fabrics (WWF) JAB, Waverly,
Mayer Fabrics, Luxury Fabrics, Peachtree Fabrics,
Weave Corporation (WeatherWize). Unless
otherwise stated, there is a minimum one yard order.
Our mill/converter line includes, P Kaufmann
(Kaufman), Braemore, Swavelle Mill Creek,
Waverly, Ametex, Covington, Spectrum, Libas Silks,
Catania Silks, Avon Silks, No 1 Textiles, and World
Linen.
